The things families ask us first.
If your question isn't here, ask it directly — an accommodation expert will answer it properly rather than pointing you at a page.
The things families ask us first.
Straight answers. Anything that depends on a specific residence, your expert confirms in writing.
How is NestaStudent different from a listings site?
A listings site introduces you to a property and its job ends there. We are advisory-led: a named accommodation expert works your enquiry from first contact through to move-in, and stays reachable for the length of the tenancy. We stay accountable for the outcome, not just the introduction.
What does 'verified' actually mean?
Every property clears five stages before a student ever sees it: sourced through direct partner outreach, compliance screened for ownership, licensing, fire safety and legal standing, facility audited for rooms, security and communal spaces, commercial terms agreed in writing, and only then listed with verified photography and honest descriptions. A property is listed because it's checked — not because it exists.
Can I book before my visa is confirmed?
In many cases yes, but it depends on the individual property's terms. Your accommodation expert will tell you which options accept a pre-visa booking and exactly what happens if your visa is refused, in writing, before you commit to anything.
Do I need a guarantor?
Some properties require one and some accept alternatives such as advance payment. We check the requirement against your circumstances before you apply, so an application isn't rejected for something that could have been caught first.
Will I understand the contract?
That is the point of plain-language terms. Your obligations under the tenancy are explained before signature, in the family's preferred language. If something in the agreement is unclear, ask your expert — you should never sign a document you have not had explained.
Who do I contact after I've moved in?
The same named expert who handled your booking. Aftercare covers an issue escalation desk, liaison with the property partner, and help with extensions or re-booking. We stay reachable, not just bookable.
What happens if something goes wrong with the property?
Raise it with your expert. In a dispute with a property partner, we represent the student's position directly — we are not neutral between you and an operator.
What happens to my documents?
Student documents are collected only where they are actually required, and shared only with the relevant property partner for that booking. Nothing is circulated more widely than the booking needs.
Let's find the one you'll actually want to live in.
Tell us your university, your intake and how you like to live. A named expert takes it from there.
