Animal House

• I'll provide a full orientation to the space when you arrive. I don't have many if any house rules. Animal House wants to be your home sweet home on the range!
• 1. There is no smoking inside, but the front porch and backyard are all usable spaces.
• 2. A previous guest's dog was unsupervised in the backyard and killed one of my hens. He agreed to always have his dog on leash but didn't follow that rule. Consequently, all my guests with dogs must affirm that their dog will always be supervised and on leash in the backyard. Dogs are welcome to enjoy the pool but must remain on leash during that time as well. Additionally, all dogs must be bathed before having pool access. I have dog shampoo on site or Pet Supermarket nearby offers self-service bathing for a small fee. If your pet isn't dog and cat friendly, please find other accommodations for them during your stay.
• 3. Flip flops will be provided for the backyard and should remain by the back door upon entry. The backyard is cleaned daily to remove as much chicken waste and dirt as possible. The chickens mostly avoid the swimming pool. Guests are encouraged but not required to remove their shoes inside.
• 4. Guests are welcome to enjoy any food or beverages but must replace whatever they use within 24 hours and/or prior to departure.
• 5. Guests have full access to the house except the master bedroom and bathroom. No personal items should be left in the shared spaces when guests aren't present. Any food or beverages should be stored in the refrigerator or the guest cupboard. Dirty dishes, plates, utensils, cups, etc. should be put in the dishwasher unless it's clean and/or in use. Then, please rinse them and place them in the sink.
• 6. The television in the living room is available to guests from 9 am - 10 pm.
• 7. A Sony ULT Field 3 Wireless Portable Bluetooth Speaker is provided for guests. The volume should be kept at a reasonable level and not played in shared spaces between 10 pm - 9 am.
• 8. The front and back doors must be kept shut at all times. Florida has lots of lizards and iguanas who will enter the house if they're able. Should you encounter one, throw a blanket/towel or box over them and take them outside. I can also remove them as needed.
• 9. My cat Tassels likes to explore outside, and it's fine if she "escapes" when you open the door. If you hear her calling from outside, please let her inside and shut the door. My dog Yodel should not be allowed outside if I'm not at home. Keep the guest bedroom and bathroom doors shut or my pets will likely want to explore those spaces.
• 10. The guest bedroom toilet occasionally needs to be flushed twice. Overall the water pressure is fine but showering is best when no other water is being used (dishwasher, washing machine, other shower, etc.).
