Booking Deposit

• An advance rent payment of £100 is required and must be paid within 3 days of receiving the accommodation offer and accepting the occupancy contract.
• The advance rent payment is not a deposit; it is a payment of rent in advance.
• The advance rent payment will be credited towards the first rent installment.

Additional Fees

• Lost Key Charges Lost key and access device charges vary by accommodation type:
• Fobs (Penmaen & Horton): £15.00 each
• Proximity Access Cards: £5.00 each
• Traditional Keys: £25.00 each
• An administration fee of up to 15% may be applied to cover processing costs, capped at a maximum of £50.00.

Pay In Instalment

• Accommodation fees can be paid in full.
• Alternatively, accommodation fees can be paid in 3 installments.
• Number of instalments: 3
• Payment 1: 34% of the accommodation fees.
• Payment 2: 33% of the accommodation fees.
• Payment 3: 33% of the accommodation fees.
• Instalment 1: Due on 29 October 2026.
• Instalment 2: Due on 28 January 2027.
• Instalment 3: Due on 6 May 2027.

Mode Of Payment

• Credit card payments are accepted.
• Debit card payments are accepted.
• Bank transfers are accepted.
• International payments can be made via Convera.
• Supported payment methods: Alipay, WeChat Pay, Trustly, Sofort, POLi, ChinaPay (China UnionPay), UnionPay, iDEAL, JCB, Visa, Mastercard, and Online Transfer

Deferring Studies

• Requests to Leave After the Contract Start Date Once the accommodation contract has commenced, residents remain responsible for accommodation fees for the full contract period unless one of the following applies.
• Withdrawal or suspension from studies Where a resident:
• withdraws from studies
• suspends studies
• fails to enrol the resident may request release from the accommodation contract.
• A 6-week notice period will apply from the date the Tenancy Release Request Form is submitted, subject to confirmation of the resident’s academic status by Academic Registry Residents who vacate their accommodation without submitting a Tenancy Release Request Form will remain financially liable for accommodation fees until the University receives formal notification and confirms release from the accommodation contract.

Cooling Off Period

• Residents may request cancellation of their accommodation contract within 7 calendar days of accepting the offer.
• Where cancellation is approved:
• The contract will be terminated
• The room will be returned to the accommodation allocation pool
• The Advance Rent Payment may be refunded in accordance with university procedures. After this period the accommodation contract remains legally binding.

No Visa No Pay

• Visa refusal Residents who are unable to study in the UK due to visa refusal may be released from their accommodation contract upon provision of official documentation.

Other cancellation policies

• Requests to Withdraw Before the Contract Start Date After the cancellation period has expired, residents remain liable for accommodation fees unless the University agrees to release them. The University may consider releasing residents in the following circumstances.
• Student does not enrol Where a resident:
• does not enrol at the University
• withdraws before arrival
• defers their studies the resident may request release from the accommodation contract.
• A 6-week notice period will apply from the date the Tenancy Release Request Form is submitted, subject to confirmation of the resident’s academic status by Academic Registry

Delayed Arrivals & travel restrictions

• If you are unable to travel due to government-imposed travel restrictions, please contact the team with the relevant supporting documentation. We will facilitate the request to review your circumstances and explore the possibility of cancellation/contract amendment. Requests are considered individually, and any outcome will depend on the property's review and applicable booking terms.

University Course Cancellation/Modification

• If your course has been cancelled by your university, please reach out to the team with the relevant supporting documentation. We will liaise with the property team to review your request on a case-by-case basis for cancellation. The resolution will be subject to the property's assessment and the terms of your booking.

Smoking

• Smoking is not permitted inside the building. Smoking is allowed only outside in designated areas, where permitted by property rules and local regulations.

Guest policy

• Guests may stay with you where permitted by the property. Always notify the property 1 to 2 weeks in advance to complete the required formalities.

Minimum age

• You must be 18 years or older on your move-in date to stay at this property. Please ensure you meet the age requirement before booking. In case you do not meet the minimum age requirement, inform the team while enquiring with us, and we can suggest you accordingly.

Student eligibility

• This accommodation is exclusively available to students. Non-students are not eligible to stay at the property.
