Country life in the City

Our house is located in Olifantsfontein which is located between Johannesburg and Pretoria. You will get the best of both worlds of "roughing it with the natives" and come to understand the historical location of the property relative to its proximity to the nearby township of Tembisa. The house is occupied by the owner's brother who lives there with other tenants in the external guest kaya. The room is inside the house. My brother will be your local safe guide for an additional charge depending on the service you might need like (grocery shopping, local food cooking, laundry, local tours, etc). When you get there, you will discuss your interests and what you plan to do preferably with him as your guide and host. You will go to the township and mix and mingle, full immersion if you wish, to experience the past and present of South Africa! While you will be treated like a king by the host, expect no frills nor thrills here. Get to know the challenges the natives still experience despite the end of apartheid. Ask them any questions about this and don’t be shy. Remember, this is your educational excursion and adventure! We are a homestay, not a hotel, we will give you our undivided attention. When you are our guests, you will be among friends and family. We are greatly honored that you chose our homestay.
