Homestay in Kratie

Welcome to our Homestay, we hope you have a great time staying with us and we will do all we can to make your stay a wonderful experience. The Homestay is run by Mr Yuth who is a local Khmer man, together with his family he has set up the Dolphin School of English to teach underprivileged local children English so that they may face a better future. The price of the homestay supports the school. The homestay is a traditional wooden Khmer house next to Dolphin School in Orussey village in Kratie. The house has 3 bedrooms, a communal living room, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a balcony with a table and chairs. There is no AC but there is a fan in the bedrooms and in the communal living room. Meals We can offer meals for an additional cost. Detail can be arranged on arrival. Drinking Water Water is available from Mr Yuth’s shop which is by the main entrance, you can also buy other drinks, snacks, SIM cards and toiletries. 20 litre water dispenser is available for $1 including delivery. Please ask Mr Yuth. Electricity and WiFi Electric is very expensive in Cambodia so please make sure all fans and lights are turned off when not in use. The WiFi in the house is poor, however you can access WiFi at the River Dolphin Hotel or at the local coffee shop which are both about 10 minutes walk. Eating out There is a market a short walk away that sells takeaway food as well as fruit etc for snacks. The main road has many restaurants and The River Dolphin Hotel provides more slightly western food at reasonable prices. Please feel free to use the cups, plates and cutlery provided. If you leave the dirty plates etc on the side, these will be collected, washed and returned. Maximum 2 adults per room. Groups are welcome but maximum 6 people. We hope you have a pleasant stay, please remember that this a residential area and families go to bed early so no loud music after 9pm.
