In the green of Tuscany

Towards the end of the last millennium, my partner (Bruno) and I, having been looking for a house in the country for a couple of years, were happily struck by this old and solid building in exposed brick, with a couple of outbuildings and little more than half a hectare of land around. We manage to buy it, we do some renovation work, and above all we live there, to experience as much as possible that contact with the countryside that we have always sought in our lives; I find it at 18, leaving Turin to settle in Tuscany where I become a herbalist, Bruno has always lived in this countryside, without ever hearing the call of the city. So here we are, halfway between Pisa and Volterra, in this place that we consider as the realization not so much of a bucolic dream, but rather of the objective of living on tiptoe in nature, trying to limit our "impact" as much as possible. ”, even with effort, but always with enormous gratification… I like being outside, in the open air, having a relationship with plants, which I consider extremely surprising living beings... And also with cats, which accompany us on our journey. I also love the company of humans, when I can I try to meet friends and, often, to do so over a good dish, perhaps vegetarian, in one of the porta-parties that we organize for every good occasion.
