Peaceful family home near Edinburgh

This is a welcoming family home, 20 minutes by train to Edinburgh, shared with me, my friendly six-year-old daughter and our gentle older cat, Harvey. We aim to provide a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere where guests feel at home while still enjoying their own space. Eskbank, Dalkeith is situated South of Edinburgh - it has excellent transport links making it easy to access the city, while providing a quiet, relaxing place to come back to. I am keen to host female visitors only due to there being a young child in the property part of the week. My background is in jewellery design and I'm also a Secondary school teacher of Art & Design. I am a French speaker and I enjoy meeting people from different parts of the world as I love to travel myself. I enjoy sharing my knowledge of the local area, and Scotland in general, to help make your stay more enjoyable. The private bedroom is bright, spacious and overlooks a quiet residential street, ensuring a relaxing night's sleep. The bed is an Ikea day bed, and pulls out to make a large, roomy bed. The room includes storage for clothes and belongings, and an additional airbed can be provided for a child if required, making it ideal for someone travelling with a child - please message me to discuss additional costs for this. Guests have private access to a colourful shower room and toilet located just next to the bedroom, as well as a well-equipped kitchen with an oven, microwave and coffee-making facilities if you'd like to prepare meals or enjoy a leisurely breakfast. Outside, you'll find a lovely seating area in the rear garden – a great spot to enjoy a morning coffee or unwind after a busy day.
