◆ WELCOME TO MARIO HOUSE — YOUR HOME IN SEOUL Hello! My name is Mario, and I live in Hwagok-dong, Seoul. I have been welcoming international guests for more than 10 years. My hosting experience includes over 5 years as an Airbnb Superhost, 2 years operating a share house, and about 3 years hosting international students from EF Korean language school. Through these experiences, I have learned what travelers and students need to feel comfortable while staying in Korea. Many guests tell me that Mario House feels like a home. If you are looking for a warm, welcoming place to experience everyday life in Seoul, I would love to host you. ◆ A KOREAN HOME WITH CHARACTER Mario House is in a low-rise Korean residential building with its own character and history, in a quiet neighborhood. The house is arranged as follows: • 3rd floor: Guest area with 3 bedrooms, a shared living room, kitchen, and bathroom • 4th floor: My private living space and rooftop garden I live on-site, so you can enjoy your own space while knowing your host is nearby. Please note that the guest area is on the third floor and requires climbing stairs. ◆ COMFORT & THOUGHTFUL AMENITIES I have carefully prepared the house to make your stay comfortable, with quality mattresses, bedding, and practical amenities. Facilities include: • LG washer and dryer • Breville espresso machine • De’Longhi toaster • Ice maker • Bose sound system • Projector with a 120-inch screen The south-facing house receives plenty of natural sunlight. Guest Facilities The bathroom and guest refrigerator are shared among guests and are separate from my own facilities. Work & Study Power outlets are available near the beds and desks for charging devices and using laptops. Guests can also use the shared living room or kitchen table when they need extra space. The house is furnished mainly with simple, practical IKEA furniture. ◆ ROOFTOP GARDEN & SHARED SPACES The rooftop garden is one of the highlights of Mario House. Enjoy tea, coffee, or a relaxed conversation at the outdoor tables under the parasols. When the weather allows, we sometimes organize charcoal BBQ gatherings. In the shared living room, guests can enjoy Netflix or YouTube Premium on a 120-inch screen. Additional amenities include: • Free use of the washer and dryer • Free bicycle rental — 3 bicycles available • Pick-up from Hwagok Station by prior arrangement, especially for guests with heavy luggage Rooftop activities and bicycle use depend on the weather and availability. ◆ CONVENIENT LOCATION IN WESTERN SEOUL Mario House is located in Hwagok-dong, a residential neighborhood in western Seoul. Transportation • About a 5-minute walk to Hwagok Station on Subway Line 5 • Approximately 1 hour to Incheon International Airport • Approximately 30 minutes to Gimpo Airport Travel times vary depending on your route, waiting times, and traffic. Within walking distance, you will find: • Daiso • Olive Young • Traditional Korean markets • Local restaurants and cafés • A large supermarket about 3 minutes away The neighborhood is a great place to explore local markets, try Korean food, and experience everyday life beyond Seoul’s main tourist areas. ◆ KOREAN HOME COOKING I love traveling and cooking, and I enjoy sharing Korean home-style food with my guests. When available, I use fresh vegetables grown in my rooftop garden. The dishes I prepare change with the seasons. Breakfast — Included A simple self-service breakfast is included with your stay. Breakfast items may include: • Bread and jam • Cereal • Rice • Instant noodles • Kimchi • Fruit • Milk and juice The selection varies depending on availability. Breakfast supplies are kept in the shared kitchen and guest refrigerator, so you can help yourself at a time that suits you. Dinner — Optional Home-cooked Korean dinners can be arranged upon request for an additional fee, subject to my availability. Please ask in advance about the menu, price, and any dietary requirements.
